The Full Story

How did I come to be a coach specialising in helping female breadwinners figure out what they need and what they want?

When it comes to coaching niches, they say that either you are your niche or your niche finds you.  In my case, my niche found me - and it took me completely by surprise.   During my training as a coach, I took on anyone as a client and coached a wide spectrum of people. But it soon became clear that the people who were coming to me, staying with me and working with me often for over a year,  who I felt the most passionate and motivated to support and champion, were all female breadwinners.

I started testing this out as a niche, interviewing female breadwinners about their stories.   The more I learnt, the more it became clear that this is a niche that comes with it's own set of political challenges and conflicts, it evokes strong, polarising emotions in people, in myself too, but the more discomfort I uncovered in myself and others the more it confirmed that these are the people I need and want to be in service to as a coach.

Why? Because they are, without exception, incredible women — feminist pioneers, quietly rising above the gendered conditioning still so present in our society. And they're up against it. They come to me exhausted from prioritising everyone else's needs over their own, overwhelmed by everything they're juggling, and lost — because there's no time or headspace to think about who they are, what they need, and what they really want.

So here I am, a coach for female breadwinners, committed to creating a judgement-free space for these women, where they can be seen and say exactly how it is for them, unfiltered because their experience in this world is unique and largely unchartered and I believe they deserve a platform of their own to be seen, heard and celebrated.

I want to help them feel empowered, proud, courageous, and supported — with more choice, more agency, more clarity, and more freedom to figure out who they are, what they need, and what they want.

I'm calling this platform: REAL SPACE.  This is their space to be real about who they are, what's going on for them, what they're really experiencing, what they really need and what they really want.

If any of this resonates, and you recognise that you want and need to create some REAL SPACE for yourself to explore what it is that you really need and really want - I'd love to hear from you.
